Also known as Jan de Vochtighe, Aksel Fuktig or The Moist One (translated personally from Ulhcinshi), Cyril the Oddly Damp shows up in historical records repeatedly. Cyril always comes across as unnoteworthy at best, a complete failure at worst, so the fact he seems to be at the core several important records of historical events is a constant source of confusion. In a bout of curiosity, I’ve tried to reach out to Cyril to no avail. Public channels didn’t amount to anything either, with his underground Vrooge-Grunge band Dank, Drizzly & Dangerous refusing to comment on my questions. The only formal mention of Cyril is from my learned acquaintance Kalsthenius Palmrakadis XXVII in his paper on Agthorian Bullfinches- Nesting and Dietary Paradoxes. He adamantly refused to respond to my mana-mail when he learned Cyril was the topic.

Frustrated, I continued my research alone, and found records of a waterlogged creature annoying Ulhcisnshi locals with soaked maracas, an ancient religion based around a drenched woman, (Prayer requires waking up neighbors through shrill screaming) and a sopping imprint of agony in the early settlements of Zrenoth. Records from thousands of years ago.

My conclusion then, to my personal dismay, is that Cyril has achieved immortality.

In fact, Cyril is the only being in recorded history to ever do so. The exact means are unclear, but i surmise it must have something to do with the Tome of Life, Restoration, and Salveomantic Constructs. I cannot continue my research for fear of my continued safety, as i have since received several mysterious boxes to my doorstep filled with nothing but moisture.

Good luck.
